Training Courses:


Both half-day or full week courses in any of the DMAIC phases below including certification for Lean Six Sigma ‘Yellow, Green or Black belt” either at your premises or off site.

Half-day courses in DMAIC phases are available including all course materials (minimum four persons required).

Six Sigma projects are segregated into five DMAIC phases comprising:-

D                     Define the project

M                     Investigate which measurements are required from project

A                     Analyse data in measurement phase

I                       suggested project Improvements

C                     Control needed to maintain output and reduce variability

Yellow and Green or Black belt training courses are available separately and can be taken weeks or months apart to suit business needs or your availability or alternatively can be taken concurrently over a full five days.

Yellow belt Lean Six Sigma syllabus

Yellow belt training provides delegates with a good understanding of Lean Six Sigma methods, prepares them to participate and contribute to Lean Six Sigma projects. Yellow belts are not experts in the methodology but understand the activities, deliverables and pre-requisites of Team problem solving.

Yellow belts identify potential improvement opportunities providing ‘first hand knowledge’ to support Green and Black belts.

Yellow belt training is also the entry level for Green belt certification enabling, delegates to continue on their Lean Six Sigma journey.

Green belt Lean Six Sigma syllabus

Green belt certification builds on the “body of knowledge” gained from Yellow belt certification enabling Green belts to lead small projects

  • Participate in major projects under direction from a Black belt
  • Possess a firm understanding of DMAIC methodology
  • Understand and able to apply basic statistical tools and techniques
  • Understand and able to use basic Lean techniques and tools

Yellow and Green belt Lean Six Sigma Certification (five full days)

The course comprises the syllabus from both Yellow & Green belts into one intense week’s course

Black Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification (five full days)

·         The Black belt Lean Six Sigma course builds further upon the “body of knowledge” gained at Green belt level.

Defining the role of the Black belt, expectations, leadership, control and inspiration to other team members.

How to use, apply control charts and hypotheses testing.

How to build a Lean Six Sigma culture part 1

Getting it right first time through Lean Metrics

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)

Enhancement of Lean Six Sigma culture part 2

Homework will be given to demonstrate understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodology and its application.

E
xaminations will be taken upon completion of the “body of knowledge” demonstrating capability at either Yellow, Green and Black belt certification.

MTM-1, MTM-2 & MTM-UAS Training

Daily or weekly refresher courses are available by IMS certified approved instructors based on minimum of four delegates.

MTM-1 used where process cycle time <15 seconds
MTM-2 used where process cycle times are >15 and <45 seconds
MTM-UAS used where process times are >45 seconds
PADS used for clerical work measurement

Our main aim is to ensure that the general work study rule applies where the accuracy level is to within +/- 5% with 95% confidence limits.
